For a sturdier bookmark, print the designs onto cardstock rather than regular printer paper. A smooth white cardstock around 160–200 gsm works well and is still easy to feed through most home printers.
You can also laminate your finished bookmarks if you want them to be extra durable. This is especially useful if you're planning to use them every day.
