Hi, I'm Emma.

I'm a crafter, blogger and paper enthusiast living in the North West of England.

Gathering Beauty is the place where I share craft tutorials and diy inspiration. I started this blog back in 2013 as a way of sharing all the things I love and make. I share paper crafts, clay crafts, origami, printables and desktop wallpapers as well as the odd crochet and weaving project. I hope you find something here that inspires you.

THE BEST OF 2013 - YOUR FAVOURITES AND MINE.

The Best of 2013 - Your Favourites and Mine.

With only one day left of 2013 it seems like a good time to take a look back at some of the most popular posts on the blog as well as a few favourites of my own.

First up, the most popular.

1. I still love these Stamped Clay Magnets and it turns out you do too. They're number one by a mile. Hop on over if you missed them the first time or maybe fancy having another look.

2. More clay. This time Embossed Clay Star Decorations. I made them with christmas in mind but I think they'd make fantastic party decorations in general. Tie them to gifts, a bottle of wine or make them without the punched hole and scatter them on your table.

3. My Faceted Clay Tea Light Holders are still going strong. I'll be honest I wasn't sure how long they'd last, that's the problem with experiments but five months on and they still look great.

4. Painting Abstract Art with Melted Crayons. I've been meaning to make another one of these all year. They're so quick to make, you can have a new piece of wall art in a couple of hours. Give it a go.

The Best of 2013 - Your Favourites and Mine.

And now here are my top four favourites.

5. Sweet and simple Cinnamon Sugar Pastry Stars.

6. Who knew you could make your own Perfect Bound Notebook so easily? I know I didn't. Thanks to the fantastic Damask Love for showing me how. They're on my must-make-more list.

7. Another favourite was making these Diy Custom Eraser Stamps. All you need is a bit of patience and practice. I loved how they turned out.

8. And finally Nutella and Hazelnut Pastries. The perfect breakfast treat. Need I say more? Nope, didn't think so.

Happy New Year Everyone. Thanks for reading.

CINNAMON SUGAR COATED CASHEWS.

Cinnamon Sugar Coated Cashews

Hi everyone. I've been wanting to share these amazing Cinnamon Sugar Coated Cashews with you for so long. I've been making and giving them as gifts for the last five years and I (and hopefully all the people I've given them to) can't recommend them enough. They're delicious, make fantastic gifts and are also really easy to make. If you're looking for a last minute gift to give to someone this christmas these cinnamon sugar coated cashews might be the answer.

Ingredients for Cinnamon Sugar Coated Cashews

Cinnamon Sugar Coated Cashews,

Ingredients needed:

1 egg white

I tablespoon of water

350g of cashews

200g sugar

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to gas mark 1 or 140c.

2. Grease a baking tray.

3. In a bowl whisk the egg white and water together till frothy and white.

4. In a separate bowl mix the sugar, salt and cinnamon together.

5. Add the cashews to the egg white mixture and fold in.

6. Next add the sugar mixture to  the cashews and stir until evenly coated.

7. Spread the sugar coated cashews onto the baking tray.

8. Bake at gas mark 1 for 1 hour stirring them every 15 minutes.

Easy, right? Pop them in jar, tie with some festive ribbon and you're all set.

I'd like to say they last a couple of weeks in an air tight container but the truth is I've never found out. They're just too delicious to have lying around and not be tempted by that sweet crunchy cinnamon shell.Try them and you'll know what I mean.
