Printing Your Cards.

There are 12 different designs to choose from. Each card measures 5x7 inches once cut out. A perfect fit for A7 envelopes.

I've included some simpler designs for the younger kids and more intricate designs for the older kids. Including Santa Claus, a Christmas stocking with candy canes, an adorable reindeer and a pair of cute penguins.

Once you've chosen your favourite Christmas card design, it's time to print it out. I recommend using a lightweight card stock (not too thick, it needs to be able to go through your printer) for a sturdy feel.

You can find this paper at any office supply store. Make sure your printer is loaded with fresh ink, and you're good to go!

Gather Your Colouring Supplies.

Grab your coloured pencils, markers, or crayons, whichever you prefer. You can even mix and match to create eye-catching combinations. For some added flair, consider using metallic or glitter pens.

Colouring Tips for Your Christmas Cards.

  1. Layering Colors - To add depth and dimension to your designs, try layering different shades of the same colour or complementary colours. For example, layer a dark blue over a light blue to create a stunning gradient effect on a snowflake.

  2. Experiment with Patterns - Don't be afraid to get creative with patterns like stripes, polka dots, or even zentangle-inspired designs. They can add a unique touch to your cards.

  3. Add Sparkle - If you have glitter pens or glitter glue, use them to add a touch of holiday sparkle to your cards. A little shimmer goes a long way.

  4. Personalise - Write your own message inside the card before or after colouring. It adds a personal touch that your loved ones will cherish.

Sharing the Joy.

After your cards are beautifully coloured and personalised, it's time to share the joy! Hand them out to friends and family but of course, it doesn't stop there.

Here are some more wonderful ideas for what you can do with your finished cards:

  1. Send Heartfelt Greetings: The most obvious use for these cards is to send them to your entire family. Adding your own artistic touch to the card makes it even more special, and it shows the recipient that you've taken the time to create something unique just for them.

  2. Decorate Your Home: Turn your coloured cards into lovely holiday decorations. You can string them together to make a garland to hang on your mantel, staircase, or around doorways. Place them in frames or on a corkboard to create a festive wall display.

  3. Create a Custom Advent Calendar: Transform your coloured cards into an advent calendar. Number each card from 1 to 24 and attach them to a string or ribbon. Then, you can hide small treats or messages behind each card to count down the days until Christmas.

  4. Gift Tags: Cut out smaller sections of your coloured cards to create unique gift tags for your presents. This adds a personal touch to your gifts and can be a fun way to use any leftover cards.

  5. Table Setting Decor: Use your coloured cards as placeholders or table decor for your holiday gatherings. Simply fold them in half to stand on the table or tuck them into folded napkins to add a pop of colour to your table.

  6. Thank You Notes: After the holidays, repurpose your coloured cards into thank-you notes. Add a personal message inside to express your gratitude for the thoughtful gifts you've received.

  7. DIY Ornaments: Transform your coloured cards into homemade Christmas tree ornaments. Cut out the various characters, add a hole and a ribbon, and you have a personalised decoration to add to your tree.
