Celebrate our beautiful planet with this fun and easy Earth Day craft! Whether you're making these at home or in the classroom, they're a great activity for kids and adults alike and with two adorable designs to choose from, there's something for everyone.
All you need is a downloaded template, some cardstock, scissors, and your favourite colouring supplies. I recommend using a lightweight cardstock or good-quality thick paper to give your hat a bit of extra sturdiness.
Simply colour in and decorate your chosen design before cutting out the extra strips for the headband. It's as easy as that!
These hats are also a perfect way to get kids practising their fine motor skills, though young children may need a little help with the cutting parts.

How To Make an Adorable Earth Day Crown.

2. Open the email and click the button to download the PDF files.
3. You can use regular copy paper, but for best results, print these cards on white cardstock paper, it’s great for making your colours really pop (plus, no marker bleed-through!).
4. Print as many copies of the Earth Day hat templates as you need.
5. Colour in your chosen design.
6. Cut out all the pieces.
7. Attach side strips to the main piece to make the headband.
Each template has two extension pieces, so it's great for older kids and adults.
8. Fit to the child's head and cut off any excess.
9. Tape or glue ends together.
And there you have it! Your own cute headbands, perfect for celebrating Earth Day in style!
