I made this amazing crunchy chocolate granola over the weekend. It was delicious. In fact, I think this might be the perfect weekend breakfast food.
You will need:
200g rolled oats
100g assorted nuts or seeds
70g light brown sugar
50g cocoa powder
90ml golden syrup
50ml vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 120°c/gas 1/2.
Mix the oats, nuts and sugar together.
In a separate bowl mix the cocoa, syrup and vegetable oil.
Combine the two mixtures and pour onto a baking tray. Bake for 45 minutes or until dry and crispy.
Allow to cool and enjoy with milk or yogurt.
This is definitely a new favourite. I'm already planning on making more. Pecans and maple syrup anyone? Or maybe banana chips and peanut butter?
