Diy Sequin Decorated Pumpkins

With Halloween only a few days away why not add a little bling to your decorations this year and make these diy sequin pumpkins.

I picked up some of these mini pumpkins on the weekend and even though I had no idea what I was going to do with them I knew I had to have them. They were only 89p each. Bargain! After sharing some of my favourite diy pumpkins yesterday I decided to go the no-carve route when decorating them. I'd seen this rhinestone spiderweb pumpkin that I really liked and decided to make my own version using pins and sequins.

Here's how I did it. It's really easy I promise although a little time consuming. Why not pop some spooky songs and get crafting.

How to make Diy Sequin Decorated Pumpkins

What you'll need to make your own Diy Sequin Pumpkins:

Mini  pumpkins or squashes, dressmaking pins and sequins.

How to make Diy Sequin Decorated Pumpkins

1. Start by mapping out your design.

To make the spider web design all you need to do is follow the natural shape of the pumpkin but if you want to do something more complicated it helps to draw the design out in pencil first.

2. Attach each sequin to a pin and press into the pumpkin.

3. Make all the vertical lines of the web first.

4. Add the curved horizontal web strands.

5. Admire your sequin decorated pumpkin.

Diy Sequin Boo Pumpkin

To make the Boo! pumpkin I used a pencil to draw on the design and then used this as a guide for my sequins.

Diy Sequin Scary Face Pumpkin

I liked that this squash had a scarred battered skin so I sketched on a classic scary carved pumpkin face. I filled the places you'd normally carve with sequins.

So sparkly. So pretty. I think I'll be doing this again next year.

Happy Halloween.
