DIY MARBLED CLAY CATCH-ALL DISHES

Marbled Fimo Bowls.

As much as I love everything I make and share on here I do have to admit that I have a particular soft spot for today's diy. I first saw a version of these marbled bowls back in 2014 on A Beautiful Mess and have been dying to make my own ever since.

This week I finally got around to it and I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed. In fact, they might even be my new favourite, sorry stamped clay bowls but you'll have to be happy with 2nd place.

The inspiration for my bowls came from my new sparkly mermaid shell 'E' keyring. I'm always looking for somewhere to dump my keys and I knew a keyring as pretty and sparkly as this one needed a new home that was just as special

Marbling the polymer clay meant I was able to incorporate all the different colours in the 'E' into the dish and give it that extra special edge.

Watch the video below to see how you can make your own faux marbled catch-all dishes.

The great thing about marbling clay like this is that it's hard to go wrong. The more you roll and twist the more intricate the pattern and no two dishes turn out the same.

I'm so pleased with how my mermaid inspired dishes turned out. You can make them to match any of your home decor and whether they're for yourself or a friend I think they make a fantastic gift.

P.S. These dishes are not dishwasher safe or safe to eat from so please only use them for decorative purposes.
