20 finger knitting projects

Finger Knitting Projects.

Ever wondered what you can actually make with finger knitting? I’ve got 20 cute finger-knit crafts and patterns that I think you’re going to love.

If you’ve ever wanted to have a go at knitting but haven’t quite known where to start I think finger knitting is a great beginner step to learning. Once you’ve got the finger knitting basics down, you can easily whip up a chunky scarf in 30 minutes.

I’m definitely not an expert when it comes to knitting. In fact, I find it really hard so anything that means I can make something quickly and easily from wool without getting tangled up with needles is always going to get my vote.

Finger Knitting Ideas.

Finger knitting is a fairly easy technique to pick up (find out how to cast on here) and as you’ll see from the range of projects in this post it’s also a really versatile craft.

By weaving yarn between your fingers and then lifting it up and slipping off loops you can make a simple chain that can be used as is as a necklace or scarf or woven together to make a more complicated blanket or hat.

Once you’ve learnt how to make your first simple finger-knitted chain (you can find my easy to follow how to finger knit series here or get the whole PDF eBook here) come back and try now of these surprisingly easy finger knitting ideas.

There’s a little something here for everyone, from Rococo-style wigs to googly-eyed octopus, infinity scarves to holiday wreaths. Expert or beginner, pick your favourite, grab your yarn and get knitting.

I think it’s safe to say I’ve been bitten by the finger knitting bug. And if these fantastic finger knitting projects aren’t enough I have twenty more on my What Can You Make With Finger Knitting post.
