DIY Coasters.

Today I have the cutest homemade gift idea...DIY Coasters! They're such a fun DIY project and easy to make as well.

I love making my own coasters, in fact, you'll find a couple of my own cute coasters included in the list below. So far I've made them using clay, yarn and paper.

Not only are they cute home decor for your own home but they also make a great gift for friends and family. Group them together for larger items like teapots or scatter them around the living room at a party.

Make a set for yourself or give them as a gift to a friend or family member. I promise they'll make you smile every time you reach for your mug.

DIY Drink Coasters.

Homemade coasters are a quick and simple project you can make in just a few hours with a couple of materials. They can be as simple as decorated ceramic tiles and wood slices, a more intricate knotted macrame coaster or even DIY marble coasters using alcohol ink.

For some, all you'll need is some acrylic paint and a layer of Mod Podge. It's a great way to update a boring white ceramic coaster and a fun project to get the kids involved with.

Make a whole bunch of them and change them up with the seasons. You can customise them with different materials, patterns, colours or words. Pastels for spring, citrus fruits for summer, warm tones for autumn, and cosy patterns for winter.

Wrap your finished stack of coasters in a ribbon for the perfect housewarming gift or to add a personal touch to the holiday season.

I've rounded up 20+ of my favourite DIY coaster ideas below. There are wooden coasters, decorated cork coasters, wood slice coasters decorated with dried flowers and simple ceramic tile coasters.
