Hi, I'm Emma.

I'm a crafter, blogger and paper enthusiast living in the North West of England.

Gathering Beauty is the place where I share craft tutorials and diy inspiration. I started this blog back in 2013 as a way of sharing all the things I love and make. I share paper crafts, clay crafts, origami, printables and desktop wallpapers as well as the odd crochet and weaving project. I hope you find something here that inspires you.

THREE THINGS I LOVE RIGHT NOW.

Three Things I Love Right Now

1. This beautiful and unique crepe paper flower advent from Oh Happy Day. The date is stamped on each of the leaves and the centre of each flower holds a treat. The perfect grown-up advent calendar.

2. Yes Please by Amy Poehler. I'm a third of the way through and so far and I love it. Honest and funny.

3. I think this pretty diy paper cut paper village from Lia Griffith would look great lit up on the mantel. Pop on over to download the template.

What things are you loving right now?

9 FESTIVE FAVOURITE TREE DECORATIONS.

9 Festive Favourite Tree Decorations

We went Christmas tree decoration shopping on the weekend. It's one of my favourite things to do to get me in the holiday spirit. I love picking out a few sparkly new ornaments each year to add to the collection.

A couple of years ago I got a tin robin wearing a tiny wool hat from the same place that makes that glittery fox. My robin has got a few chips on him but he's still going strong and I'm pretty sure he'd love a foxy new friend to keep him company on the tree.

The green swirled one in the top right is marbled glass but I found a couple of great tutorials if you want to try making something similar here and here.

I've been wondering if you could do something similar to this with these cork ornaments.

And finally if you like the house ornament with the pink sparkly roof you might want to check out this tutorial for vintage inspired bell jar ornaments. Ashlee filled hers with miniature trees and deer but there's nothing stopping you filling yours with your own miniature village or anything else that takes your fancy. I do love those teeny tiny deer though. Why is something so much cuter when it's small?
