I'm back with another super easy and fun project for you. Today, we're making DIY origami pencil cases.

You know how much I love giving fancy pens and pencils as presents, but sometimes just wrapping them up feels a bit boring. That's when I stumbled upon these brilliant origami chopstick holders, and a lightbulb went off in my head.

The paper pockets were perfect to take my future stationery gifts to the next level!

Origami Pencil Case.

These origami chopstick holders are not only practical but also incredibly versatile. With a few simple folds, you can transform them into adorable little pockets for your pens and pencils.

Feel free to experiment with different colours and patterns to add some extra pizzazz.

Supplies:

  • Origami Paper - This paper is specifically designed for origami and comes in a variety of different colours and patterns.

    If you don’t have any origami paper on hand here are a few alternatives that you probably already have at home.

  • Regular Printer Paper,

  • Gift Wrap,

  • Magazine Pages,

  • Newspaper,

  • Maps,

  • Colouring Book Pages,

  • Old Books,

  • And Newspapers.

    I even have some printable origami paper you can download and use for FREE. Simply download, print and cut into 7x7-inch squares.

How to make Origami Pencil Holders.

1. Cut your paper to size. I used a 7x7 inch square to make these pencil holders but it will depend on the size of your pencils.

2. Fold your square in half with the pattern facing down.

3. Open your paper back out and fold the sides in to meet the centre fold.

4. Open out and fold the top left corner to meet the centre fold.

5. Fold the top right corner to meet the 1st fold from the right.

6. Fold the right hand side to the center and then the left hand side over to the right.

7. Take the last flap and wrap it around the back. Use a little glue to hold the back flap in place.

8. Flip your paper over and slide your pencils into the pocket.
