CROXTETH HALL AND PETIT FOURS.

Croxteth Hall and Petit Fours

On Sunday I spent a lovely, sunny afternoon at Croxteth Hall. It was open to the public for free as part of the Heritage weekend celebrations and was packed full of art, food and craft stalls.

Sadly I forgot to take my camera but I did manage to take a few snaps of these amazing petit fours I'd carefully transported home before we ate them. Delicious.

WATCH/READ/BUY/DO.

Watch/Read/Buy/Do 01

Watch: Sweets Made Simple.

Did anyone see this show? If you're interested there's still a few days left to watch in on iplayer. There's also a book of the series, you can find it here. There wasn't a single thing they made on that show I didn't want to try immediately.

Read: Pride & Prejudice.

I'm currently re-reading. Hands down this is still my number one.

Buy: I've got my eye on this grasshopper stapler from Anthropologie. I think it's just what my desk needs. Definitely too cute to be shut away in a drawer.

Do: I've been making a whole bunch of origami boxes and paper bows (tutorial to follow). There's only 15 weeks till christmas after all.

A FEW FAVOURITES FROM AROUND THE WEB.

A Few Favourites From Around The Web.

Here's a few things from around the web that caught my eye this week.

(clockwise from top)

1. Pretty 3D Bright Paper Stars from A Subtle Revelry.

2. Clever Watercolour Mugs using nail varnish from The Merrythought on Poppytalk.

3. How tasty to do these Caramelized Peaches and Cream from Creature Comforts look? It's that toasted crumble almond topping that really makes it.

4. Over on The Proper Pinwheel you can find these sweet Fabric Inspired Macarons decorated with food colour pens.

5. Fall For Diy makes working with concrete look easy with this Diy Chrome and Concrete Planter.

6. I think we all know how much I like making things out of clay so there was no way I wasn't going to love Diy Clay Bead Necklace from Design Love Fest was there?

How about you? What's caught your eye this week?

LOVELY LINKS 07.

Lovely Links 07

This week has been a good week, although I suppose any week that starts with sugar dipped french toast is bound to be. I've been trying to soak up as much summer sun as possible. It's hard to believe september will be here in just a few short weeks.

Here's this weeks lovely links.

I can't get enough of the Diana photo app. I used it to make the image above.

Pretty amazing illustrated gifs by Rafael Varona on The Jealous Curator.

10 dos and don'ts for a simpler life on Clementine Daily.

Crafty paper flower goodness.

I've been following along and joining in with Poppytalk's annual colour week. You can check out #poppytalksummercolours on instagram to fill your feed with summer colour goodness. I think the golden yellows have been my favourite.

Got 5 minutes? Hop on over to youtube and watch 73 questions with Sarah Jessica Parker. That house, wow.

I loved seeing the colourful photos from Bright Bazaar's recent trip to Cornwall. So much blue.

More clever people making their own stamped clay bowls. Shira at Even Yaru // Heather at

Woods of Bell Trees.

And finally thanks to Apartment Therapy, Sweet Tea & Saving Grace,  Ftiaxto, Tina's Dynamic Homeschool Plus and Top Inspired for sharing some the things I've made.

Have a great weekend everybody.
