Origami Letters.

I love a good font almost as much as I love an origami paper craft so of course, I’m super excited to show you a project that combines them both. These origami letters are simple to fold and fun to make. And as all you need is some paper they’re inexpensive as well.

You can fold any or all of the letters and use them to make an initial or spell a whole word. Turn them into a statement piece of artwork or even a personalised banner.

I used one of each to make the whole alphabet and then popped them into a frame to be hung in my little boy’s bedroom. They make such a colourful and fun piece of art on his wall.

These simple origami letters are made by folding origami paper so the coloured side forms the shape of the letter. You can use all sorts of paper, from classic origami paper to magazine pages, gift wrap and even old maps. Mix up the papers, patterns and textures to make a colourful piece end piece.

I've made a video below, separated into two parts, showing you how to make your own alphabet. You can find the letters A to M in part one and N to Z in part two. Follow along with the simple steps below and you'll be creating your own colourful paper alphabet in no time.

Supplies:

I do recommend using origami paper for any paper folding project but any kind of thin paper will work. Here are a few alternatives that you probably already have on hand.

I even have some printable origami paper you can download and use for FREE. Simply download, print and cut into 7x7-inch squares.

Part 1 'A' to 'M'

Part 2 'N' to 'Z'.

They make fantastic alphabet wall art for a kids’ room, don’t you think?

CURRENTLY READING - CRAFT A LIFE YOU LOVE.

Today's book is Craft A Life You Love by Amy Tangerine. If you follow Amy on her blog, YouTube channel or Instagram you'll already know what a creative powerhouse she is. I've been a fan of Amy's for a long time. I first discovered her through her range of craft supplies for American Crafts, then her blog followed by her fantastic YouTube channel and now her self-published book.

CURRENTLY READING - CRAFT A LIFE YOU LOVE.

This book is part memoir, part workbook with pages to colour on, doodle and worksheets to fill in. It's a great book if you're looking for new ways to infuse creativity and positivity into your life and as always Amy's enthusiasm is catching. I'm only halfway through but there are two things that have stood out so far for me, the section on being the creator of your own happiness, being grateful for everything you have and the hand lettered quote below.

Honestly though everything in this book so far has been a gem. You don't have to be creative or crafty to find this book uplifting and inspiring although I imagine you are if you read this blog. You can pick up a copy here if you're in the U.K. and here if you're in the U.S.

FOR THE LOVE OF UNICORNS.

FOR THE LOVE OF UNICORNS.

I'm crazy about unicorns. It seems like they're everywhere at the moment. It's good to know I'm not the only one head over heels for this magical animal especially now I know they actually existed! Although with a lot less sparkle and a little bit more woolly mammoth. Unicorn hot chocolate, anyone?

3 DIY'S I'D LOVE TO MAKE.

3 DIY'S I'D LOVE TO MAKE.

Before we all head off for a long weekend I've got three more diy's to share with you. First up is this loaded soft and chewy M&M cookie pie Averie Cooks. How amazing does it look? It's contains all three of my all time favourite sweets so there was no way I wasn't going to love this one. Anything with caramel and peanut butter is always going to be a winner in my eyes.

I've always loved felt storage bins but never realised just how easy they are to make. Head on over to Mollie Makes to see for yourself and you too can store your yarn in style.

This might be the prettiest cushion I've ever seen. We already have a couple of cushions in a similar colour and I love the idea of adding a lace applique to them. Francois Et Moi shows us how and they look fantastic.

Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend my lovely friends. I'll see you back here on Wednesday.
