MY FAVOURITE CREATIVE CRAFTY BOOKS.

My Favourite Creative Crafty Books

It was grey and wet and windy this past weekend which meant I got to curl up on the couch and read. Today I thought I'd share of my favourite creative crafty books with you, some I love and own and some I'd love to own.

1. Oh Joy! 60 Ways To Create & Give Joy. I'm a fan of Joy's blog Oh Joy! so I had high hopes for the book. It did not disappoint. It's filled with bright, colourful projects Recommended projects: Edible confetti, customizable pop-up wrap and mini photo block puzzle.

2. Paper To Petal. This book is wonderful and packed full of gorgeous paper flower projects. I particularly like the crumpled poppies and the paper peonies.

3. Materially Crafted - A Diy Primer for the Design Obsessed. I love this book. It's a great one for beginners. It covers the basics of crafting, how to find inspiration, the right tools and the best materials for your project. Each material even has it's own chapter, my favourites were the clay and paper sections.

4. Craft-a-Doodle. Need a little inspiration? Try one of the 75 exercises from 18 different artists in this book to help get those creative juices flowing.

5. Playful: Fun Projects to Make With and For Kids. This is the perfect book for keeping the kids busy this summer. Recommended projects: the floral paper crowns and the duct tape cardboard house.

6. Made By Hand. A book filled with beautiful projects you can print, sew, weave or knit by hand. This one is on my wishlist. I'd love to try and make my own braided rug or coiled rope bowls.

7. Pretty Packages. This is another on my wishlist. Creative yet simple ideas for wrapping gifts. I could definitely do with the tips on how to wrap awkwardly shaped gifts.

8. Make & Give. I think the tagline for this book says it all, 'simple projects that celebrate the people we love in the everyday moments.' I love the everyday advent and the fill-in-the-blank tattoos.

9. Creative Block. For those days when no matter how hard you try you just can't seem to get unstuck.
