AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE - DIY SWEET FILLED CHOCOLATE COKE BOTTLE.

AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE - DIY SWEET FILLED CHOCOLATE COKE BOTTLE.

If you've been following along this Summer you'll know that I've decided to rescue some of the most popular past projects from the archives and re-share them with you in a series I'm calling 'An oldie but goodie.' So for those of you that are new to the blog or perhaps missed it the first time around I present to you my diy sweet filled chocolate coke bottle.

I first saw a version of this sweet filled chocolate bottle on YouTube a couple of years ago and it still blows my mind. It took a few attempts to get right so I do have a few tips for you.

1. Use all the chocolate! This was my first mistake and I can't stress this enough. The thicker the chocolate the easier it is to get out of the mould. Don't be tempted to stop halfway through and think 'hhmm, that should be enough,' trust me, it won't.

2. The refrigerator is your friend. I made the mistake of making this on a particularly hot week and had so many problems with the chocolate melting as I cut away the mould. If you start to have any problems pop it back in the fridge for 10-15 minutes and try again.

3. And finally, be careful when cutting away the bottle. It's fiddlier than it looks in the original video and is how I lost my second attempt. I pressed too hard and the knife went right through the bottle and the chocolate.

Check it out here and let me know if you try making one yourself. I'd love to know how you get on.
