9 WEEKEND DIY'S TO TRY.

If you're thinking of staying home this weekend here's some fun things to try and diy.

DIY Summer Tassel Necklace

Summertime is officially here, and what better way to celebrate than a piece of tequila sunrise inspired neck candy that you can make yourself?

Felt Cloud Kid’s Wall Decor

I whipped out my beloved pile of woolly yarn and some felt to create a really cute and really easy wall decor. Even if you have zero sewing skills, you can make one of these I promise.

Giant Cake DIY

Today we’re going to show how to make a giant cake you can pop out of! I’m so excited. I’ve been wanting to make one of these for forever.

Fried Egg Donuts

As I hope you’ve guessed, they’re not actually fried egg donuts. I’m not that adventurous, ha! But they do look like they’re topped with a sunny side up egg.

Cute Animal Wrapping Paper

It’s pretty easy to do, and in just a couple of minutes, you can have your very own adorable gift to give at the next shower or kid’s birthday party you get invited to.

3D Paper Flower Gift Toppers

Adult paint by number kits are a whole other ball game! The intricacy of those pieces blows my mind! If you’re an avid paint-by-number painter, I applaud you and your patience.

DIY Pom Pom Picnic Blanket

I don’t know if you’ve been seeing this whole round beach towel/picnic blanket trend but I am ALL about it so we decided to DIY one!

8. Violet Tinder Studios shows us how to make a candy covered diy phone case.

DIY Paper Flower Cake Topper

Showing you an easy way to bump up your boxed cake to “party worthy” status with this easy and elegant DIY Paper Flower Cake Topper perfect for your next celebration!

Have a great weekend.

Hi, I'm Emma.

I'm a crafter, blogger and paper enthusiast living in the North West of England.

Gathering Beauty is the place where I share craft tutorials and diy inspiration. I started this blog back in 2013 as a way of sharing all the things I love and make. I share paper crafts, clay crafts, origami, printables and desktop wallpapers as well as the odd crochet and weaving project. I hope you find something here that inspires you.

I love a good print and these fantastic animal prints from James Barker Draws are no exception. If you need a little something to spruce up your place then you might want to check out this Etsy shop. They sell homewares, prints and stationary. I think my favourite has to be that dinosaur print gift wrap with the Alice in Wonderland cushion a close second. Definitely one to add to your Etsy favourites.

AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE - DIY MINI MILK CARTON GIFT BOXES.

I'm back with another 'oldie but a goodie' and another of my favourites. If you're looking for a unique box for your next gift then look no further, these diy mini milk carton boxes are the answer. You can use them as party favours or as an extra special way of wrapping those homemade sweet treats. I made these ones from scratch using scrapbook paper and a scoring board but if you're not feeling quite so confident I have a slightly larger version here with a free template for you to download. Either way all you need to do is score, fold and cut to make your own unique gift boxes. You can find the mini milk cartons here and the printable template here.

3 DIY'S I'D LOVE TO MAKE.

Here's three more diy's I'd love to make.

A modern beaded wood trivet from Apartment Therapy.

This crocheted granny square jacket from Lana Red Studio. Just in case you've ever wondered what to do with all those granny squares.

A simple wooden vinyl holder from Burkatron so you can display your record collection in style.
